"I want you to sing with rapture and dance like a dervish ... Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I'm not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you'll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love - well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived ... You never know, lightning could strike."
-Anthony Hopkins to Claire Forlani in Meet Joe Black (1998)

A word of advice from one who has learned the hard way:
Follow your heart, but don't neglect the better judgement that your head can provide. Everyone would love to fall in love with abandonment - no holding back, give it all you got, "run the risk" abandonment. However, reality can strike a pretty hard blow.
I fell in love with a man that could love me like no other ever had. He could touch a part of me that no one else had ever come close to connecting to before. I fell deeply in love, denying any input from my head. As it turned out, I fell in love with an addict.
Love like that is powerful; I still feel his connection despite being divorced now for almost four years. He still loves me...but I don't think it was worth the pain to be able to say that I have experienced a love like that.
Use your heart and your good sense.
