Your opening quote is Divine.(Doesn't matter who said it when it's that FLY.)
Hi Katie! I have no idea if you check this site anymore, but I just had to say hi. I first found your blog a few years ago, and was fascinated by seeing the city through the experiences of a newcomer. Having been born-and-raised here, I tend to take the city (and all it's unique intricacies) for granted. I get caught up in the stress, and forget to appreciate the little things. So I find myself coming back to this little site of yours about once a year, and reading it all the way through on a free weekend. Seeing the city through new eyes reminds me of how exciting and fulfilling it really is, and makes me excited to get back out there. So thank you for that, and I hope all is well!
And I just wanted to take a moment to tell you, Melly, how much I appreciated the time you took to post this comment. I am glad that you have enjoyed my blog.
Greetings.....and I hope your NYC adventure continues to give you some thrills....and your banner quote is by Hunter S Thompson....not in one of his books but as an answer he often gave to questions about what it meant to get older in our society....he would also often change the particulars, for instance that it should be like you were rounding third heading for home with a feet-first slide etc. Keep on chooglin'!
I read your entire blog about a month ago. Youe blog is inspiring and quite interesting. I wish you still blogged!
Too bad, I found this blog apparently long after you're gone. Thank you for such beautiful writings. Keep the New York spirit alive wherever you are.
